A motorcycle accident in Linn County left the driver with moderate injuries Sunday morning. At about 2:45 am, 40-year-old Steven O Gillespie of Brookfield was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. The accident happened when Gillespie was southbound on Highway 5, north of Laclede and struck a deer. His motorcycle overturned and he was ejected. He was wearing a helmet.
