A portion of the Grand River remains above flood stage and MoDOT reports several roads are still closed dure to flooding on the Missouri River.
The Grand River at Brunswick is expected to remain above flood stage of 19 feet through Friday. The National Weather Service reports the river was at 26.2 feet Sunday night and will slowly fall through the week. Additional rainfall in the forecast this week could affect the flood level.
As we start a new week, the list of roads closed in the southern part of the KCHI listening area due to flooding remains unchanged. Flood waters on the Missouri River or waters backed up into other rivers and creeks are keeping several roads in those areas closed. For the latest on the road closings, check the MoDOT traveler information map at www.modot.org.
