The Chillicothe Police responded to 125 calls for service Monday, including several investigations.
Officers responded to two reports of tampering with vehicles in the 400 block of 10th Street and in the 1300 block of Locust. The officers were not able to locate suspects in the incidents.
8:00 am, Officers received a report of theft that occurred on Sunday evening at a business in the 1000 block of Graves Street. A suspect has been identified and charges are pending.
8:00 am, Officers took reports of vandalism to planters and plants in the early morning hours of Sunday from the 400 block of Locust Street to the 700 block of Locust Street and portions of Calhoun and Washington Street. With the cooperation of the community, three juveniles were identified and Detective Murdock says they are working with the Juvenile office on the incident. The three have already written letters of apology and have agreed to community service to restore the planters.
9:17 am, Officer received a report of a scam involving the victim being tricked into sending money to receive more money.
11:12 am, Officer recovered a baggie which contained a controlled substance that had been left at a business in the 200 block of West Business 36. The substance will be destroyed.
11:40 am, Officers received a report of theft that occurred on Sunday morning at a business in the 1200 block of North Washington Street.
1:38 pm, Officer responded to Washington and Webster for a two-vehicle, non-injury traffic crash. One driver was cited for following too close.
3:00 pm, Officer took a report of a lost or stolen firearm from a home in the 200 block of Virginia Avenue. This investigation continues.
7:53 pm, Report of 4-wheelers going up and down an alley in the 400 block of Cherry Street. They were located in the back yard of a home in the 400 block of Walnut Street and advised to only operate them on private property.
9:32 pm, Check the well-being of a subject in the 500 block of Orchard Street. Subject was distraught and taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.
10:57 pm, Officers responded to an address in the 100 block of St. Paul Street on a possible medical call. The person was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for possible mental assistance.
