The Chillicothe Police used the power of conversation in place of brute force to arrest a suspect Thursday morning.
Police were called to the 1900 block of Polk at 11:00am where a suspect had barricaded himself in the residence and refused to come out of the building.
Police negotiated with the subject and took him into custody and processed, then transported to the Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail.
Officers assisted in locating a missing child from a residence in Dawn Thursday morning. The subject was located at Dewey School.
Officers investigated a two vehicle non-injury accident at Highway 65 and Park Avenue. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
Officers responded to a total of 133 calls for service on Thursday.
