The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department has kept busy investigating a variety of cases.
Deputies investigated a report of a registered sex offender that listed their place of employment for a company outside the county. During a compliance check it was discovered the person had allegedly never been hired by the company, which does some work in schools. A report has been sent to the prosecuting attorney for consideration.
Deputies are investigating an alleged forcible rape and assault from a few months ago. A suspect has been identified.
Officials are investigating a possible parental kidnapping. The suspected father of the young child had been located in Jackson County area and the Division of Family Services has confirmed the child is okay. A report will be sent to the prosecuting attorney.
Deputies have completed a drug investigation from February. A report is being send to the Prosecutor for consideration of charges on two people.
