The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department is reminding residents of a Prescription Drug Drop Box at the Police Department.
Sheriff Steve Cox says the drop box can be used for the safe disposal of prescription medication, controlled or non-controlled substances by county residents.
Items such as vitamins, prescription ointments, pet medications, prescription patches and over the counter medications are accepted.
The drop box is just inside the front door of the Chillicothe Police Department at 613 Walnut Street.
Cox says no needles, syringes, inhalers, aerosol cans or hydrogen peroxide will be accepted.
