As flood waters recede in many parts of the state, the Missouri Department of Transportation is working to assess damage to state roadways and determine the needed repairs.
A MoDOT Spokesperson says roadways with damaged surfaces or shoulders will be evaluated to determine the scope of work required and whether repairs will be completed by MoDOT or by external contractors.
In the KCHI listening area, roads and bridges needing repairs from flood waters include:
Livingston County Route C closed at the Shoal Creek Drain Bridge.
Carroll County Route C closed at the Branch of Turkey Creek Bridge.
Sullivan County has several bridges closed due to flood damage. They include Route N between B and Y and Route EE at Medicine Creek Bridge.
Other bridges in Sullivan County remain closed for routine maintenance, repair or replacement.
