The Friends of the Park group in Chillicothe will begin raising money to buy new playground equipment for Simpson Park.
Chillicothe City Administrator Darin Chappell says it’s just one example of community spirit that makes Chillicothe such a great town.
A group spokesperson expects to raise as much as $300,000 dollars for the playground project with the final 25% financed by the city.
