The Mudcats beat Sedalia 9-6 on the road in a come from behind win in 10 innings.
The Mudcats were held in check in the plate all the way until the 7th. Cats down 4-0. After Logan Eickhoff doubled, and Nolan Metcalf singled, Chet Merrit would grab an RBI on the fielder’s choice and Marcus Gonzalez would add an RBI double.
In the 9th, Cats trailing 6-3, a Dom Trevino doubled and Branden Settles walked, then Tate Wargo would plate them both with a 2 RBI double to make it 6-5.
With two strikes it would be Logan Eickhoff coming through with a game tying RBI single.
In the top of the 10th Dom Trevino would break the tie with an RBI double and Tate Wargo would add 2 more RBI’s on a single to make it 9-6.
Brock Pettit threw 4 2/3 strong innings in relief and Jack McNellis would strike out the final Sedalia batter as the Cats are now in sole possession of 2nd place in the North.
