Sixty-nine calls for service were handled by Chillicothe Police on Thursday. The report includes assisting a suicidal person and the arrest of a woman on warrants.
At about 2:06 AM, Officers were called to the 900 block of Elm Street for a suicidal person with a gun to his head. The man was contacted and talked into laying down the gun. He was taken into protective custody and taken to a hospital for treatment. The gun was seized.
11:31 AM, Officer received a report of computer fraud in the 1500 block of Maples Street. Investigation continues.
1:11 PM, Officers were called to an accident at Clay and Dickinson. A man on a motorcycle failed to yield causing a collision. He was treated at the scene but refuse further treatment. He was cited for failing to yield. The other driver was uninjured.
3:52 PM, Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of South Washington Street. The driver was given a warning for expired registration.
5:51 PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop at Jackson and Locust Street, for a woman known to have warrants The woman exited the vehicle and fled on foot a short distance, but was caught by officers without further incident. The woman, Slade Spencer, was arrested on a Livingston County warrant for alleged failure to appear on charges of alleged delivery of a controlled substance and a Carroll County warrant for alleged failure to appear on charges of alleged burglary and theft. The report states Methamphetamine was also seized during the arrest. She was processed and held at the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail.
10:13 PM, Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 10 block of South Washington Street. Jerry Hansen was arrested for alleged driving without a license. He was processed, cited, and released.
