The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department Police Dog Zaki earned his keep on Thursday. Chillicothe Police report an officer made a traffic stop of a vehicle in the 800 block of West Business 36 and requested Livingston County K-9 Zaki.
The police dog alerted on the vehicle and a search found drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The driver was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and released.
Officers investigated an abandoned pick up at Woodward and Jackson, which was blocking the street. A tow truck was called and towed the vehicle.
Police investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 1100 block of Hillside Drive where people were possibly trespassing on the property.
Police received a report in the 800 block of Thompson Drive on a possible mail fraud. The investigation continues
Officers checked the area of Third and Cherry streets for a source of several 911 calls. Officers spoke with several people but were unable to make positive determination of the origin of the calls. Police report after that, the calls stopped.
