Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge near Sumner is re-opening after repairing flood Damage.
Refuge Manager Steve Whitson says the Refuge has been closed since mid-June due to flood waters, which damaged the grounds, roads and structures.
Whitson said the wildlife made it through the disaster.
Whitson said the office building and visitors center was flooded. After studying the situation, the Regional Office decided to replace the office and visitors center on higher ground. That project could take a couple of years.
