A former Chillicothe businessman and former school board member is expected to be sentenced in Federal Court in Iowa today, according to a story on the Missouri News Network.
61 year old Randy Constant will be sentenced in Cedar Rapids, Iowa this morning for his part in a $142-million grain fraud scheme.
Constant pleaded guilty in December in an Iowa federal court to one count of wire fraud for his role in the scheme.
Constant reportedly admits the grain fraud scheme misled customers into thinking they were buying certified organic grain when it was not organic.
He faces up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000.
