In a continued effort to help clean up run-down homes in Trenton, the City Council approved increasing the amount of Trenton’s City cost share contribution to property owners.
City officials feel their residential home demolition project is not getting as much participation as hoped for.
The city will now increase their cost share part to of demolition up to half of the cost, up to $2,500 .
The property owner will pay the rest. It is hoped the increased cost share will convince more owners to clean up their properties.
