Class sizes are increasing at Chillicothe High School. According to numbers listed on an upcoming School Board Meeting, the incoming 9th grade class is the largest of the four classes at the high school with 155. The Sophomore enrollment is 152, Juniors are listed as the smallest with 131 students and Seniors are listed as numbering 137 for a High School total enrollment of 575 students.
Officials expect the growing trend to continue over the coming years, with a very large 8th grade class that numbers 164 and a large 7th grade class as well with 147 students. Officials expect that in two years, Chillicothe High School enrollment could be the highest it has been in over ten years.
