Law Enforcement officials remind citizens of a safe place to dispose of unwanted prescriptions.
Chillicothe Police say if you have outdated or unused medications to take them to the Chillicothe Police Station at 613 Walnut Street. Inside there is a Prescription Drug Dropbox for safe disposal.
Any medications, which include controlled or non-controlled substances, prescriptions, vitamins, ointments, pet medications, prescription patches and over the counter medications will be accepted.
The dropbox is just inside the front door of the police department.
Items you can not drop off include: needles, syringes, inhalers, aerosol cans or hydrogen peroxide.
