A portion of Chillicothe was without power for about 45 minutes this afternoon. Chillicothe Municipal Utilities Electric Service Department Director, Matt Hopper, says a squirrel got into the Polk Street Substation at about 1:15 pm and caused the outage for about 250 customers. In addition to the residential area, some businesses and schools were also affected. Power was restored by 2:00 pm.
