State Troopers report one accident and three arrests in the area counties.
A Milan teen had minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident early Saturday morning. Nineteen-year-old Mackenzie McDanel of Milan was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield for treatment following the accident about 1:30 am on Highway 5, south of Browning. According to the report, McDanel was northbound when she ran off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail, crossed the road and struck another guardrail. She was wearing a safety belt.
The Arrests Include:
Friday at about 2:50 pm in Sullivan County, Troopers arrested 46-year-old Gary Swofford of Trenton for alleged unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and no seatbelt. Swofford was processed and released.
Friday at 11:15 pm in Linn County, Troopers arrested 57-year-old Rodney Bethards of Dawn for alleged possession of a controlled substance – Methamphetamine. He was held at the Macon County Jail.
At about 1:45 am Saturday, Troopers in Livingston County arrested 21-year-old James Baldwin of Brookfield for alleged DWI, no front license plate and no seatbelt. He was processed and released.
