The Chillicothe Street Department reports one project is complete and two others will begin soon.
The Third Street railroad crossing project is complete. The project took a little longer than expected due to the weather.
The Chip and Seal project in downtown Chillicothe will begin Tuesday, September 3rd and is expected to take four days to complete. Street Superintendent Jeff Gillespie says the work is planned for the evenings and they hope downtown patrons and visitors will cooperate with the parking and traffic restrictions that are posted during the work.
Streets that are part of the Chip and Seal project include:
Calhoun, Webster, Jackson, and Clay – from Vine to Walnut.
Locust and Elm – from Ann to Polk.
Vine – from Third to Polk.
Cherry – from Clay to Bryan
And Walnut – from Clay to Polk.
The overlay work in 1st and 2nd Street will take place as the paving crew becomes available.
