The Chillicothe Lady Hornets had their hands full, but beat Trenton in three sets in Chillicothe’s season opener.
Trenton game from behind to win the first set 25-23. Chillicothe held them off in the second set 25-23 and won the third set 25-15 to win the match.
In individual statistics Essie Hicks had three aces, four kills and two blocks. Clara Leamer had six kills, Ella Leamer had two kills, Haylee Coplen had two aces and ten assists
Izzie Montgomery had a dig, Lucy Gaston had an ace, three kills and a dig. Maya Snyder had an ace, five kills and two digs. Selby Miller had two aces, one kill, nine assists and a dig and Shawna Coplen had eight digs.
The Chillicothe Junior Varsity won 25-16 and 25-18.
