Several Animal Complaints In Chillicothe Police Report

Officers responded to 101 calls for service Thursday in Chillicothe, including several reports of dogs running lose or left in vehicles..

12:32 am, Report of someone knocking on window of house in the 1500 block of West Second Street.  Officers unable to locate anyone.

12:46 am, a commercial business alarm was activated in the 1000 block of South Washington Street.  Building checked and no problems found.

10:51 am, Officer out in Simpson Park assisting another agency on an investigation.

12:36 pm, Report of a dog left in a car with the windows up and not running at a business in the 1300 block of North Washington Street.  Officers unable to locate a vehicle with a dog in it at that location.

12:36 pm, Report of animal abuse to two dogs in the area of the 700 block of Missouri.  Officers unable to locate any animals.

12:46 pm, Officers took a report of stolen license plate in the 100 block of Crescent Drive.

3:16 pm, Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity involving the use of a motor vehicle that was believed to be stolen from Hamilton.  They determined that it was not stolen.

6:12 pm, Officer took report from subject stating that there had been a disturbance in the 800 block of Business 36.

6:15 pm, Officers checked a report of dog left in a vehicle in the 1000 block of Graves Street.  The vehicle was gone.

6:44 pm, Officers received a report of an unrestrained child in a pickup in the 1200 block of North Washington Street.  Contact was made with the suspect vehicle, but no violations witnessed.

8:28 pm, Officers checked a report of dog running loose in the 1400 block of Alexander.  Officers were unable to locate the owner.

8:37 pm, Officers checked a report of a suspicious acting vehicle in the area of the Chillicothe Schools Bus Barn.  The reporting party called back and stated that the vehicle had left.
