It was the Mason Baxter show on the Hornet Soccer field last night. The Hornet Junior scored all four goals in a 4-1 home win over St Joseph Bishop LeBlond.
Baxter scored in the fourth minute of the game, unassisted.
He scored again seven minutes later off a Ben Cueni-Smith assist. The 2-0 score would stand up the rest of the first half.
Baxter would light up the net again in the second half when he scored off another Cueni-Smith assist in the 43rd minute.
LeBlond found the net six minutes later off a penalty kick.
Baxter finished off the scoring in the 59th minute off a Caleb Vance assist.
Goal Keeper Jaxon Albertson had eight saves in the game.
Coach Tim Cunningham said he though this was his team’s most complete game to date.
He credited his defense’s play against a strong and aggressive LeBlond attack, stating his Hornets were able to take advantage of the chances they got in their attack.
