State Troopers report two accidents in the area counties resulting in three people injured.
At about 6:55 pm in Daviess County, a semi driven by 48-year-old Juan Martinez of Grand Prairie, TX was northbound on Interstate 35 when he lost control and ran off the right side of the highway. He overcorrected and the truck overturned onto the driver’s side facing southeast. Martinez had moderate injuries, his passenger – 27-year-old Omar Flores Castro of Garland, TX, had minor injuries and both were treated at Cameron Regional Hospital. They were wearing safety belts.
At about 9:00 pm in Sullivan County, 36-year-old Sarah Robbins of Unionville was injured when her vehicle overturned. Troopers report Robbins was southbound on Route B, west of Green City, when she failed to stop at an intersection and went through a fence, hit a tree and her car overturned. She was taken to the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. She was wearing a safety belt.
