The Chillicothe Lady Hornets cross country team won the Duane Kimble invitational meet, hosted by St Joseph Benton. Chillicothe finished with 29 points, Lincoln Prep had 36 followed by Bishop LeBlond and South Nodaway. Nine other schools had incomplete teams.
For Chillicothe: Clairissa Nivens was 3rd, Kadence Shipers 5th, Aliyah Briner 6th, Juliann Gabrielson 8th, Emma Burk 13th, Callaway Chapman 18th and Kathryn George 22nd.
Chillicothe JV runners Kaylynn Cranmer was 6th, Mayanna Weed 11th and Kiera Bosley 17th.
In the Boys Varsity race Savannah won with 48 points. Chillicothe was 9th out of 9 complete teams and 5 incomplete teams. Hayden Simmer led the team with an 11th place finish, Stephen Parkes was 27th, Clayton Savage was 44th, Logan Gregory 65th, Gavin Funk 67th and Nathan Toole 71st.
