The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department reported a speeding driver arrested for alleged DWI toward the end of September.
On the 29th, about 1:41 am, deputies stopped a vehicle on US 36 after checking its speed at 100 mph. The stop resulted in the arrest of 27-year-old Stephan Blaine Sturgeon of Utica for alleged Driving While Intoxicated and Excessive Speed. Sturgeon was processed and released on summons.
Sheriff Steve Cox says recently deputies also arrested another driver traveling well over 100 mph on US 36 and also for DWI.
