The Chillicothe Girls Tennis team beat Excelsior Springs 5-0 at Danner Park in the District Team Semifinals.
Chillicothe started with a 2-0 advantage due to injuries on the Excelsior Springs team.
In doubles play, Hunter Keithley and Hannah Zimmerman won 8-2, Macy Cavanah and Delaney May won 8-0 and Megan Sisson and Leah Lourenco won by forfeit.
In singles play, Megan Sisson won 6-0, 6-1 and Lean Lourenco won by forfeit, giving Chillicothe the necessary five wins and ending the contest.
Chillicothe hosts Trenton today (Wednesday) in the district team finals.
