Savannah’s Junior Running Back Evan Yount had four rushing touchdowns in a 49-14 Savannah win over Chillicothe in MEC Football at Savannah.
The Savages scored on their first possession with a Noah Bodenhausen
56 yard touchdown run early in the first quarter. They scored again 3 minutes later on Yount’s first touchdown on the night for a
14-0 lead.
Chillicothe answered with a Kam Ward 4 yard touchdown run and a Dawson Wheeler 48 yard run to tie the game.
A 65 yard Savannah touchdown pass but missed extra point made the game 20-14 after the first quarter. Savannah led 28-14 at the half.
Chillicothe bobbled the second half kick off and lost the ball with a fumble.
The Savages scored twice in the third quarter and again in the fourth quarter.
Chillicothe recovered three Savannah turnovers, but failed to score on any of them.
Chillicothe falls to 5-2 on the season. They face Wyandotte in Kansas City, Kansas next Friday night.
