Chillicothe Lady Hornet’s Junior golfer Halle Jones is headed to the MSHSAA Girls Golf Championship for the third straight year.
Jones shot an 84 on the Kirksville course to finish sectional competition in second place, four strokes behind the medalist from Kirksville.
Other area golfers qualifying for the State meet include from Brookfield: Laken Sattman who placed third with a 94 and Demi Downey who tied for 4th with a 97, and Makenna Campbell of Southwest who shot a 101 to tie for 7th place.
Team qualifiers for the state meet were Palmyra with a 424 team score and Kirksville with a 443.
Also competing but not qualifying for state from the area were Trenton’s Maci Henson with a 115 and Oakley Madden with a 119.
State golf will be October 21st and 22nd at Freemont Hills in Nixa.
