The Chillicothe Football team again used a strong running game and a sound defense to pick up their 6th win of the season. The Hornets beat Wyandotte, Kansas 35-7 in the first ever meeting between the schools.
Chillicothe scored on their first possession of the game, going 73 yards in four plays with a Dawson Wheeler 51 yard run.
The Hornets scored again on a Jaden Winder 13 yard run to lead 14-0.
Winder found Julius Humphrey all alone in the end zone for a 19 yard touchdown toss.
Wheeler ran it into the end zone again, this time one play, 65 yards to make it 28-0 at the half.
In the 3rd quarter, Wyandotte started the quarter on offense and went 83 yards in 13 plays that took nearly 8 minutes to score on a 12 yard Quarterback scramble.
Chillicothe responded with a Winder to Conner Sewell 10 yard pass for the final 35-7 score.
Unofficially, Wheeler had 7 carries for 146 yards and Winder had 15 carries for 117 yards. All total the Hornets had 445 yards rushing in 52 carries.
