A Salisbury woman had serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident near Marceline Tuesday afternoon. State Troopers report 31 year old Ann M Burks of Salisbury was taken to University Hospital in Columbia following the accident at about 3:00 pm on Route ZZ, five miles southeast of Marceline. According to the Highway Patrol, Burks was southbound and because of a medical condition, ran off the road and her pick-up hit a tree.
