Chillicothe Education Foundation Presents Mini Grants

The Chillicothe Education Foundation’s “prize patrol” surprised several Chillicothe R-II staff members Wednesday morning with the happy news that they had been awarded mini-grants up to $500.  The Foundation members showed up with balloons and a BIG Check!

Winners of this year’s fall mini-grants are:

  • Brooke Wolf, Chillicothe Elementary School – “Publish Books for a Lifetime”
  • Jaryn Schneider, Chillicothe Elementary School – “Empower Learners Through Active Engagement and Leadership”
  • Kerrie Campbell and Mandy James, Early Childhood Professions – “Infant-ly Learning Library”
  • Carla Williams, preschool – “Little Hands’ Learning in Action”
  • Lynette Cowherd, Dewey and Field Schools – “Using Doodling to Enhance Communication Skills”
  • Andrea Beck, Sophie Chambers, Ellen Gott, Ashley Hawkins, Libby Howe, Mindy Kincade, Amanda Williams – “One World, Many Stories (Pt 2)”
  • Shaylee Rademacher-“Robotics in the STEM Classroom”
  • Holly Thompson, Chillicothe Middle School – “Robotics in the STEM Classroom”
  • Ellen Duckworth, CHS Spanish/Student Council – “If they Hear it, They will Come”
  • Tammy Price and Diana Holcer, Transition to Life Center – “North by Night *Just Tickets

Superintendent Dan Wiebers says “This is a fantastic program and we certainly are grateful to the Chillicothe Education Foundation for supporting our staff in this way as they find new and innovative ways to teach our students.”
