The Chillicothe Junior Varsity football team wrapped up a successful season with a strong effort at home against Sedalia Smith-Cotton JV.
Sedalia sqeeked out a 16-8 win over the JV hornets.
Chillicothe fumbled the first snap of the game. Sedalia scored five plays later and scored the conversion for a quick 8-0 lead.
Later in the first half, Gage Leamer connected with Max Wagers for a 22 yard touchdown pass with Corbin Rodenburg running in the conversion to tie the score.
Sedalia scored the winning touchdown with 31 seconds left in the game and converted their 2 point conversion for the win.
Chillicothe had their chances with Brock Miller causing a fumble and Griff Bonderer recovering it in the first half, but they could not convert it into points.
Gage Leamer had an interception in the late third quarter and Brock Miller had one in the fourth, but neither time could Chillicothe convert into them into points.
The JV and C-teams combined for a 12-2 record this season.
