Police Report For Thursday Includes One Arrest

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 93 calls for service Thursday.

12:51 am, Officer assisted a resident in the 1200 block of Smith Street that was having trouble with lighting their furnace.

11:23 am, Officer checking report of animal neglect in the 1400 block of Webster Street.  The officer was unable to make contact at residence.

12:06 pm, Officers began an investigation of forgery which occurred in the 1200 block of Washington Street on 11/02/2019.

12:37 pm, Request to check the well-being of someone in the 1600 block of Springhill Street.  Officers unable to make contact.

3:11 pm, Officers attempted to execute an arrest warrant in the 400 block of Elm Street.  They were unable to locate the person.

4:35 pm, Officers doing premises check of the house in the 1100 block of Locust Street that the front door is open.  Everything OK, but a window is broken.

4:53 pm, Officer observed an abandoned vehicle that was obstructing traffic at Mitchell Road and Ryan Lane.  Appears the vehicle had a mechanical failure and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

5:16 pm, Report of a suspicious acting person in the area of N. Fair and Mohawk Road.  That person was located and was going to a local church.

6:45 pm, Checked well-being of an individual in the 2900 block of N. Washington Street.  The person was transported to Hedrick Medical Center for medical assistance.

6:53 pm Officer reported to a business in the 1000 block of S. Washington Street in reference to someone being terminated from employment and texting threats to other employees.  About 15 minutes later, Officer made a traffic stop in the 1000 block of S. Washington Street on the subject that was reported to have been terminated and was texting threats.  A check of the license showed the person was driving while suspended.  They were taken to the Police Department, processed and released with a citation.

7:22 pm, Officer responded to a business in the 1000 block of S. Washington Street for what appeared to be illegal drugs that were found.  The item was seized and transported to the PD for disposal.
