The Chillicothe R-II School Board will have discussions on the levy and the new district office building when they meet Tuesday evening. The meeting begins at 6:00 pm at the Grand River Technical School.
The meeting begins with recognition of students from Dewey School and a demonstration of a virtuality program.
Old Business includes a discussion on the need for an increase of the district’s tax levy. If they choose to put the levy issue on the ballot, the board would have to approve filing for the increase before the end of filing for the April Election. The deadline is January 21st.
Superintendent Wiebers will update the board on progress for the new District Office. He will also have an update on the sale of the Central School Building.
Under New Business:
There will be a presentation on the Annual Performance Report.
The Superintendent will recommend a five-year contract with Talent Ed (Power School). This will allow the district to store human resource files online and no longer need large amounts of storage. Funds required for this purchase will come from the flood insurance claim.
The board will also discuss a change in the meeting time for the school board.
An executive session is planned to follow the regular board meeting.
