Several of Missouri’s Representatives at the State Capitol attended a Legislative Forum in Trenton Monday morning to speak to constituents, including students. Each was asked to talk about their legislative priorities for the start of the 2020 session. In attendance were 1st District Representative Allan Andrews talked about the wind tax and keeping the funds local, 3rd District Representative Danny Busik talked about getting government out of our way.
Seventh District Representative Rusty Black, says education remains one of his priorities and he says he will try to find ways to help with the teacher shortage and the school pensions.
Black is on the Budget Committee and says he is beginning to work through those volumes of material.
He says one of the topics he expects will get a lot of discussion is Medicaid.
Other areas he expects will be hot topics are school safety and safety in general.
