A Livingston County Deputy clocked a vehicle on US 36 at over 100 miles an hour Wednesday, November 20th. Sheriff Steve Cox says at about 7:25 am, Deputy Nicholas Leadbetter and K-9 Zaki had been checking something in eastern Livingston County and when returning to Chillicothe. The deputy checked a Ford Mustang on US 36 near Liv 255, doing 107 miles per hour in a 65 zone.
The vehicle was stopped and the Chillicothe driver was issued the speeding citation. The stop did not result in an arrest so the name is not released and no arrest made as the driver is not a flight risk.
Sheriff Cox reminds us that high speed puts the lives of ourselves and others at risk.
