The Trenton Fire Department responded to a couple of calls for service this week.
Tuesday at about 11:30 am, the fire department responded to 1433 Norton for a front porch fire. The fire crew arrived to find the occupant had used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire, but it was still smoldering. The firefighters removed the smoldering contents from the porch and used a hose to completely put out the fire. Minor damage was reported and the fire crew was on the scene for about 20 minutes.
Wednesday, at about 2:50 am, firefighters responded to a location near 5th and Pleasantview on a report of a power line down. The crew arrived to find a powerline on the ground. Trenton Municipal Utilities was called and the fire crew stood by in case they were needed. They were on the scene for about 50 minutes.
