If you are traveling through the holiday, there is a chance you could come in contact with pests known as bed bugs. Lori Murray from the Livingston County Health Center says for most people the first sign of the bed bugs is an irritation or rash from a bed bug bite Murray says bed bugs are small.
Murray says you can get rid of bedbugs on your own.
She says continue that practice for seven days straight.
If you are a bit of a hoarder or have a lot of unnecessary clutter, it may be time to clear out that “stuff.”
She says if you have stuff packed about for a while the bed bugs won’t survive. She says they need that blood meal at least every 21 days.
