Two Arrested On Bad Check Charges

Two out of state men are in custody after a third attempt to pass fraudulent checks.  The Chillicothe Police Department arrested Jeremy Danielson and Drew Miller, both from the State of Minnesota.  According to the report, someone cashed two checks totaling over $3,000 at a local business.  The man allegedly attempted to pass a third check Thursday at about 7:50 pm at the same business.  This check was for over $1,000 and an alert employee recognized the person and alerted management and the police.

As the police arrived, the suspect ran to a getaway vehicle with a driver waiting.  Chillicothe Police, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department and a local citizen stopped the vehicle and officers arrested the two men.

Danielson had active felony warrants out of the State of Iowa and Minnesota for charges relating to passing fraudulent checks.  Both are convicted felons.  In the suspect’s vehicle, officers located 19 alleged fraudulent checks totaling more than $14,400, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, as well as evidence of criminal activity in outside jurisdictions.

The men are held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail pending the filing of charges.
