The Livingston County Sheriff’s Report for the early part of December includes several investigations and arrests.
Incident Reports:
November 28 a deputy stopped a vehicle on U.S. 65 near Highway JJ for 82 in a 60. The female occupant was found to be in possession of more than 35 grams of suspected high-quality marijuana and was transporting it for alleged distribution in Livingston County. The evidence and information were seized, evidence being submitted to the MSHP Crime Lab for necessary processing. Reports will be submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration. Speeding citation issued.
December 02 we began an investigation into theft of various items from private property on LIV 228 some of which include a heavy equipment battery, a roll of electrical wire, gasoline and gas jugs and other items. Deputies are trying to locate a person of interest who happens to be on probation and parole.
December 08 the LCSO recovered a vehicle stolen from Chillicothe recently on LIV 245 and LIV 222. A citizen called in the suspicious abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was recovered and the CPD and victim were notified.
December 09 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report with this office regarding a juvenile investigation of bullying complaint on a school bus. The parents of the two children involved and school officials are aware of the situation and dealt with the problem.
Arrests:
December 01 served a Livingston County arrest warrant on Mickey Wayne Criner, 42, Chillicothe, for alleged 4 counts of alleged Passing Bad Checks. Criner was released on bond with a court appearance date.
Citations:
December 08 about 1:17 a.m. on U.S. 65 in north Chillicothe observed a vehicle reportedly being operated in a very poor manner. Stop and investigation resulted in the arrest of Neva Jean Olson, 45, Chillicothe for alleged Driving While Intoxicated. Ms. Olson was processed at the CPD, issued citation and released to a sober person.
