The Chillicothe Kiwanis Club hosted the annual Shop-With-A-Cop Saturday morning. Forty-nine children gathered to shop with local officers and others that volunteered their time to make this a brighter Christmas. Funds for this event were donated by the Chillicothe Kiwanis Club, Wal-Mart grants to the Chillicothe Fire Department and Police Department, Chillicothe FFA, Chillicothe Elks, United Steel Workers 990 and other private donations.
The children were selected to participate by teachers and organizations in the community. They came armed with a list of items for family members and were reminded to select something for themselves.
The children were assisted with the shopping and wrapping of their gifts by members of many of the same organizations that provided the donations.
