The Chillicothe Hornets Basketball team improved to 4-2 with a 59-44 win over Kansas City Hogan Prep at the NCMC Holiday Hoops event.
Chillicothe scored the first basket of the game as part of an 8-0 opening run. The Hornets led the entire game, by as many as 20 points in the middle of the fourth quarter.
Hornets Coach Tim Cool said his defense played well, holding Hogan well below their 70 points per game average
Chillicothe was led by Westley Brandsgaard with 26 points, CJ Pfaff with 16, Mason Baxter with 7, Bradley Riley with 5, Hayden Simmer with 3, Joseph Tullos with 2 and playing time for Griff Bonderer, Wyatt Brandsgaard and Cayden Potter.
Chillicothe is off until next Friday the 27th at 2:30pm when they play Falls City, Nebraska in the opening round of the Bishop LeBlond Tournament.
