Chillicothe 8th grade Lady Hornets move to 11-1 on the season defeating Kirksville 41-34 in the opening round of the Hornet Hoops Tournament.
Jolie Bonderer and Madison Albaugh dumped in 15 points each, Kayanna Cranmer added 9 and Hadley Beemer 2.
Key playing time for Izzy Garr, Rylee Washburn and Maci Johnson. The Lady Hornets play at 8:00 AM and approximately 3:30 PM today (Saturday).
The 8th Grade boys lost to Kirksville in the Hornet Hoops tournament 38-32. Chillicothe was led by Hagan Atchison with 11, Milo Costner 8, Andrew Hecker 7, Jadon Collins 4, Jackson Trout 2 and playing time with Quenten Midgyett, Mason Meservey and Jack Ashbrook.
Saturday the team plays Cameron in the morning and Bueker of Marshall in the afternoon.
