A Pattonsburg man had serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident early Saturday morning. 23-year-old Jared L Teel was taken to Liberty Hospital following the accident at about 12:50 am on Interstate 35 at Mile Marker 67. According to the report, Teel drove off the road and collided with a drain. His pick-up overturned once, coming to rest on its side. Teel was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the accident.
Teel was later arrested at the hospital for alleged DWI, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident and no seatbelt. He was released for treatment.
