A company would like to store loaded rail cars on the rail line that is owned by the City of Chillicothe, but for that to happen, the city will have to upgrade the rail ties. City Administrator Darin Chappell told the Council on Monday this will be expensive, but would give the rail line new opportunities.
The City Council gave approval at Monday’s meeting for Motive Rail, the company that operates the city-owned rail line, to get started on the process.
The company Motive Rail is talking with at this time for storing loaded cars has cars loaded with herbicide.
