The Chula Fire Department responded to a report of a grass fire Wednesday morning. The call came in about 11:05 am for a location at 6095 Highway 65. Two brush trucks responded to the scene to find about 140 acres had already burned and was continuing to burn towards the highway. The crews used 100 gallons of water and leaf blowers to get that fire under control. They were on the scene for about 45 minutes.
