Trenton Firefighters responded to a fire inside an apartment at 1300 Lord Street Sunday evening. The call came in about 6:15 pm and the fire crew arrived to find the fire had been put out with an extinguisher. Fire Chief Brandon Gibler says the fire crew removed a mattress from the apartment and used fans to remove the smoke. Fire damage was limited to the twin-sized mattress.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The fire crew was on the scene for about 30 minutes.
