UPDATE: Girls 3rd Place game of Chillicothe vs Notre Dame de Sion has been moved to Saturday at 1:30pm at the Kearney Gym
The Chillicothe Lady Hornets found a strong inside game, but it wasn’t enough in a 59-50 loss to Park Hill in the semi-finals of the Kearney Basketball Tournament.
Chillicothe scored the first basket in the game, but trailed the rest of the game. Lady Hornets Junior Post Player Brooke Horton had a break out game with 16 points, all from the low post.
Coach Darren Smith said one of the problems was turnovers.
Hunter Keithley had 13 points, Jordan Hibner with 11, Selby Miller with 5, Jessica Reeter with 3, Essie Hicks with 2 and playing time for several others.
With the loss, Chillicothe will play for Third Place in the Kearney Tournament against Notre Dame de Sion on Saturday afternoon with the tip off at 1:30pm. Sion lost to Kearney 51-37.
