After a week off due to snow and winter weather, the Chillicothe Boys Basketball team is in action when they play at Camdenton in the Lakers Shoot-Out. This will be a re-match from last year’s game that Camdenton won 58-53. Camdenton returns two starters from that team including 6-5 senior Paxton DeLaurent who led the team with 11 points. This fall he earned all state honors as the Camdenton Lakers Football team’s quarterback.
The Varsity game begins with a 5:10 tip off and will be carried live on KCHI.
The Chillicothe girls basketball team will be at East Buchanan for a make good game. Varsity is at 3:00pm with Junior Varsity to follow.
Also today Wrestling Conference Champions will be crowned with the Midland Empire Conference Wrestling Tournament at Benton high School that starts at 12:00pm. Individual and team MEC champions will be crowned out of the seven teams in the MEC that has wrestling.
For volleyball fans, the Chillicothe Storm volleyball team, under the umbrella of the St Joseph organization, will host games at the Chillicothe high school this weekend, 16 and under play starts at 8:00am today and 14 and under play starts at 8:00am Sunday. There will be pool play to determine the final bracket games.
