The Chillicothe C-team Boys Basketball team lost to Lafayette over the weekend 45-22. Gabe Hansen led Chillicothe with 13 points, Isaiah Sprong with 4, Shane Murphy with 3 and Clayton Savage with 2 players. Due to games in Camdenton on the same day, the C-team only had six players dressed out.
The Chillicothe Freshmen girls basketball team beat Penney of Hamilton 43 – 7.
Bre Pitham and Kirsten Dunn each had 10 points, Aliyah Briner and Hope Helton each had six, Katelynn Fleener had five, Lanie Epperson had four and Izzy Montgomery had two points.
The Chillicothe Junior Varsity Wrestlers had good success in the Moberly JV tournament on Saturday. There were several divisions of each weight class and no team scores were kept.
No Hornet JV wrestlers won first in their divisions.
Taking second were Tristan Slattery at 170,Lucas Reynolds at 195, Wade Horton at 220 Dilyn Ulmer at 285 and Ryder Rempel at 285
Taking third were Gavin Funk at 132, Zeek Haughton at 145
Taking fourth were Cesar Mares at 132, Dawson Sutton at 160, James Griffin at 220, Rylan Phillips at 220 and Nicholas Greenslate at 285.
